Pros and cons of Asimov's Science Fiction app for iPhone and iPad

Asimov's Science Fiction app good for

Just started my subscription and I am not disappointed. All the stories and novelettes as well as novellas are great.
As with the original paper version, the stories continue to be entertaining and often thought provoking. However the Magster provided front end does not keep track of ones last position, despite prior claims that it had been fixed. Such a simple and standard feature can really ruin the otherwise great experience. Luckily for Asimovs, the content is good enough and there arent a lot of alternatives at this quality level so I have stayed with them. It is enough of a problem that I have avoided any other magazine with the same interface/app provider.

Some bad moments

Purchased two one-year subscriptions through Magzter, this one and Analog. Both vanished when Magzter implemented their new system of requiring users to have a Magzter ID instead of the Apple ID as had been used before. After several exchanges with their tech support, and I was glad to at least get an answer, they were unable to retrieve my subscriptions and unable to explain what the problem was. Very disappointing as yearly subscriptions arent cheap. As with others I am moving my subs to Zinio where Ive never had any problems.
Wow! I have had mixed experiences with magazines on ios, but they have done a great job of making this simple, straightforward, and bug free. The magazine looks great and is easy to navigate. Even on the iPhone it looks and works great. Highly recommended. As far as the content, I think the editors do a great job picking pieces for this magazine and I am consistently entertained.
This company provides extremely excellent customer support. From my experience they work with you until the problem is resolved.
Magzter provides an absolutely terrible platform PDF like, but at its worst. Font size is fixed, can just zoom in as in PDF Cannot look up definitions Lose you page every time you come back Unacceptable Stay with paper or kindle versions
Sometimes when Im not connected to the internet (and thats what makes this such a relevant issue as i read a lot on the bus) i boot up the app and the issues arent on my ipad its very frustrating...
Great mag I love reading it all the time. I just wish the bookmarks I make would not disappear.
